USA | Blues rock
The American blues-rock bassist DANIELLE NICOLE is coming to Europe with her band on tour and presenting her brand new album! As a founding member of the "Heavy Blues" sibling band Trampled Under Foot, she and her brothers won first place at the International Blues Challenge in the USA, which took them to Canada, Scandinavia, Europe and the UK and saw them on several Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruises allowed to occur.
Nicole's "distinctive, inventive bass work" - which resulted in her not only being the first woman nominated in the Instrumentalist ~ Bass category at the Blues Foundation's 2012 Blues Music Awards, but also the first woman to be nominated Honor was awarded twice - "is the result of years of intensive work."
In 2015, with over a decade of touring experience under her belt, Nicole set out and released the album Wolf Den, recorded in New Orleans with Anders Osborne. This began the journey of finding her own sound and voice as a solo artist. Nicole's 2017 album "Cry No More" not only brought forth a harder sound and style that differentiated Nicole's already broader voice and lyrics, but also a number of awards, including a debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, a 2019 Grammy nomination for a Contemporary Blues Album, 2 Blues Music Awards, one for a Contemporary Artist and her second as a Bass Instrumentalist, and 3 Independent Blues Music Awards. Since then, Nicole has been touring the world and fine-tuning her own sound. She recently received her 6th Blues Music Award, but especially her 4th in the Bass Instrumentalist category.
