With his Scandinavian backing band, the now 74-year-old Laing has produced a remarkable album, which lets the style of Mountain live on in a modern guise. He's got support from Michael Monroe, who contributes the blues harp on "Totally Wrong" and Ian Hunter, who contributes the lead vocals on "Even More" and "My World". With the "Finnish Sessions" Corky Laing has managed to show that he not only lets the legacy of Mountain live on, but also has the creativity to expand it with his own songs, which certainly have the quality, in addition to the old classics also live to be presented.
