Véronique Gayot's first album already made people sit up and take notice. With “ANIMAL” she continues undeterred on her own path – inflammatory, rough and haunting.
With her emotional blues and classic rock, she leads her listeners into the depths of human emotions, fears and fantasies with her versatile, expressive voice. Her stage presence is a play between alluring magic and power that the audience is only too happy to follow.
Her style is reminiscent of Anastacia and Janis Joplin. Like them, Véronique Gayot is a woman who has something to say. Their songs oscillate between blues, rock and ballads in the style of the early seventies without sacrificing modern sounds. Groove-based titles alternate with heavy, introspective material. A special experience.
She recently had the opportunity to demonstrate her strong live performance at the WDR Rockpalast show on October 16, 2020. With her excellent new fellow musicians (Yannick Eichert/guitar and vocals, Jérôme Spieldenner/drums and Jérôme Wolf/bass) she left an enthusiastic audience on site and online.
