The Ellis Mano Band is the "special guest" on Deep Purple’s 2024 summer tour in Germany!
Their concert recording, released worldwide in spring 2024 , impressively fulfills what was already suspected in the unanimously positive reviews of the last studio opus from 2023: the Ellis Mano Band is also a force on stage and operates on an international level! Virtuosic, the musicians (singer Chris Ellis, guitarist Edis Mano, keyboardist Lukas Bosshardt, bassist Severin Graf and drummer Nico Looser); dense, their interplay; intelligent, the improvisations; powerful and transparent, the sound; versatile, the songs; broad, their stylistic spectrum in independent, postmodern blues rock full of soul ; always rousing, the emotional power of the original compositions of this unmistakably authentic act. Live: Access All Areas is an hour and a half long, fascinating document of a direct snapshot.
It makes you want to see the multinational group from Croatia, Germany and Switzerland, founded in 2017, on stage. Live clips of various songs from the recording on YouTube also give an impression of what can be expected from this bridge to their fourth studio work (planned for early 2025).
Compared to the versions on the three sonically perfect studio albums, the original compositions sound edgier and earthier live. They also sometimes contain longer improvisations. The jam aspect is exemplary for the almost eight-minute long “A Lifetime”. The video has over 373,000 YouTube views! Also included: "Bad Water", the studio version of which Joe Bonamassa put on his "Damm Right, 2019 Had The Blues!" playlist on Spotify.
