Despite his 28 years, the singer, guitarist and songwriter Lukas Schüßler aka LUKE has been on stage for over 15 years. He has already played in the hottest blues clubs and festivals in Germany, France, Luxembourg and Holland, has toured as the support act for Patti Smith, Keb' Mo' and Taj Mahal and was named the winner of the German Rock and Pop Prize 2019.
Inspired by blues legends like Eric Clapton and John Mayer, but also by songwriters like Sting or Bruce Springsteen, LUKE combines tradition and modernity in his songs. Catchy, poppy songwriting meets the organic sound, the energy and the authenticity of the blues.
This versatility is certainly the reason why LUKE was able to make a name for itself beyond the blues scene. For example, in 2022 he played in Michael Schulte's opening act and was hired by the PUR tour manager as the opening act in front of more than 20,000 spectators.
With 22 songs already released on 3 CDs, including 4 music videos since the band was founded in 2019, LUKE shows that in addition to his distinctive voice and the dynamically singing blues guitar, the songs are in the foreground. MusikNah wrote about his first EP "Out Of The Blue": "You can tell that there are already several years of experience in songwriting here" - "A very successful mixture of blues, rock, soul and a touch of indie".
With his second EP "Break The Silence" LUKE already made it onto the radio with the two singles "So Far Away From You" and "Break The Silence" and was repeatedly asked for interviews in newspapers and on SR television. In 2023 LUKE is now presenting his debut album “Strange Boy In Town” with 10 songs, which were mixed by international greats such as Dominik Rivinius (Eminem, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift) and by multiple Grammy Award winner Brian Lucey (Elvis Costello, Buddy Guy , Black Keys) were mastered.
